1991年にEMI傘下のパーロフォンとメジャー契約し、バンド名を レディオヘッド に変更する。1992年にEP『Drill』でメジャーデビュー。翌年、1stアルバム『Pablo Honey』(1993年)からのシングル『Creep』が若者から熱烈な支持を受け、世界的なヒットとなる。
